There's a lot of new proposals for the game.

Some people will oppose anything (Bezma, you may have noticed).

Some people have put a lot of love into this game, and are genuinely concerned at losing a game they love (Trace, who single-handedly upheld rules, tournaments and decency on the game for a very long time as Head Mod).

But one thing the new developers (whom I congratulate on some really great looking plans) need to understand is that this forum has not, for a very long time, had a culture of constructive dialogue.

For a very long time, Kreso was absent and so all discussion about changes was essentially pointless, as none could be made.

Furthermore, mods who are unpaid, have often been very intolerant of diuscussion, since it essentially meant more work for them.

Thus, this forum has become a ghost town.

The new developers would be well-advised to leave this forum running for a long time, since all these new changes will be driving old players back to the game, and they will certainly have constructive suggestions to give, once we have had the time to digest all the new suggestions, and start playing the new game.

So, I hope the developers will allow the discussion on these forums to go on for at least 6 months or so, to allow us all to get used once more to:

a) Having something meaningfull to discuss - all the changes, and
b) Get used to a culture where we are allowed to actually discuss things!

In that way, the new developers will get the best possible feedback from old players, who have a wealth of knowledge to offer.
