Post subject: Abusive language, Stalling and Abusive trade offering Reply with quote

Game Time Ended: 8:23 PM [EST]

Players:

1. Mollen
2. nockTurnal
3. trace2012
4. fairtrade2
5. julius_caesar

Witness: trace2012

This was one of the worst games I've played in a long time. It is getting worse because when these problems are reported not enough is being done about it. And these players know that. We need an amendment to the Galactic Magnate Constitution that you can not stall these games on purpose via excessive chatter. Especially in this case when that chatter was abusive.

Citations Issued:

julius_caesar - abusive language, verbal attacks and stalling of the game.

Quote:
- Very verbally abusive towards trace. Stalled the game so much that he stalled himself out by the end.
- Recommended punishment: 90 Day Ban [At The Minimum]

fairtrade2 - abusive trade offering and stalling of the game

Quote:
- If I had accepted the last two offers that would have been cause
of point reduction. I asked him to stop earlier but he kept on offering.
-If points are reduced for accepting those trades, they should also be
reduced for those players who offer them. He knew what he was doing.

Mollen - accomplice

Quote:
- I don't remember if he did anything, but he was on the side of fairtrade2 and julius. He didn't help things and contributed to the chaos.

oh nockturnal the way in which you report leaves a lot to be desired. Please do not state recommended punishment and do not report someone that you do not remember what they did.
As for the stalling, you have had this explained to you before and it has always been this way...we cannot prove stalling, if someone is reported repeatedly for stalling then MAYBE and just maybe they will be penalized but we cannot do it from one game, there is a timer in the game for a reason and if they stall too much they will be disconnected. You are just going to have to accept this.

As for Fairtrade's trade offers while some are in gray area none are cheat offers and i cannot penalize for offers unless same ones are made repeatedly over and over. If you do not like his trade offers then just click onto another tab and ignore them

Now I do agree with the complaint regarding julius...I was originally going to ban for 30 days but after re-reading it the ban is for 60 days and if this type of chat is ever done again towards another player the ban will be perm.

I will never accept it. As I already mentioned, there should be an amendment made to the GM Constitution. It is not fair that law abiding players should have to suffer at the hands of the tyrannical players who hold us hostage. I'm speaking up for those players who suffer silently at the mercy of such tyranny. You say it isn't "easy to prove." It is easy to prove. Just look at how long the chat log is and then at the timers. This game played out like a 10-hour long soap opera.

He did repeat it over and over. He kept offering to buy 2nd green from me for $800. (He had one green.) I kept rejecting it. That is abusive to continually send the offer like that.

How can you not find those last two offers "cheating"? If I had accepted those, I would have had my points reduced along with him. Please re-review those last two offers. He was playing little games with me at that time. He was most likely frustrated that he couldn't trade me, so he began sending those cheat trades and then withdrawing them once it was my turn.

Thank you.

There is no constitution there is no law here they are rules for a free internet game.
Lots of people chat throughout their games just because you do not care for it does not make it wrong.
He changed up his offers to you when resending them, this is allowed, as for the green for 800 it is not a cheat offer as the other green was unowned. And i did look over all the offers and i cannot rule an as a cheat OFFER.
Again as for the stalling if the same person is reported repeatedly with examples it will be looked at. (but not for chatting throughout the game, there is a chat window and they have a right to use it and again there is a timer)
Edit note: I have asked fairtrade to not repeatedly offer the same trade offer.
