Iam only glad that I will never , and I mean never take part in this easy distribution of points like you will do in this , and next tournament's .
Bill started with high prizes , The Time won 2-3 times and there he goes , up to 200k, and now , becouse of begining with big prizes , you must maintain the prizes to high . In september tour 1.place will be 150k , beleve me. The base of tournament's should be chalenge , and not points . For me , entry of 2k for win 15-20k is fair enough .That's my opinion.

good suggestion by some good players

as we can c tourny is dead 1 prime reason is because of low prize points

nothing wrong to give good bonuses to encourage people to come out & play
thats why we arrange tournaments something unique where most people enjoyed earlier because of good competition which is lacking now

what people forget its not easy to get those big points in tournies because at the end u have to win few games which is never easy

lack of competition will hurt gm progress
we r going few steps backward slowly & slowly instead of going forward

The reason tourneys I arranged were low was a) coz of lack of players b) later because casino's took players away from tourneys finally c) because Gaz always told me tourneys should not get huge bonus points. He did do this for one, about a year back. This was as there had been no tourney for months.

Also the more players enter tourneys the higher the points pool. The more players the more difficult it is to win, thus deserving a higher prize.

i am not against low prize tournies if people want but we should have some big prize tounies also like winner getting 50k

big tournry once a month is not a bad idea if people r happy to participate

this will only bring healthy competition in gm & make it better

errrr surely that is not possible. I mean a tourney is paid for by an entry fee....you play the tourney rated and players will pay twice! Or if you stopped entry fee it would be as good as playing 2/3 rated games, and also it would mean you couldn't possibly set the games up as a tourney as any player in lobby waiting to go into 2p or 4/5 will get in your games.

Totally impossible therefore to hold a rated tourney.
