Post subject: Oilman and Creative Reply with quote

server time 06 15 , start -150

4p game

Mostly_evil (me)
Cat99
Oilman
Creative

trade between oilman and creative 2 dark blues for 2 reds, the trade was totally non beneficial for creative as i had the third dark blue.... totally giving the game to Oilman. no explanation for the trade offered from both on request

i guess this is a bad time to play ..... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes i still won the game, but being a mod doesnt make anyone above the rules , the least i expect is an explanation for the trade Exclamation

hey mattie
i have look at ur complaint about oilman & creative in detail
first of all it was not me (sim5) , my brother was playing as oilman but anyway whoever it is no 1 is allowed to cheat here ,gm is equal to every1 & no1 is above the rules
i think what u mentioned is not exactly right
at -100 with full board except blue & red
oilman gave 2 blue for 1 red to make a red set, oilman had 1740 in cash & 1800 credit with fully green upgraded was in better position to win
on the other hand creative had pink set 3 upgraded with 4 blacks having 1 red with 1199 cash & only 600 credit & u had yellow , brown & cyan set fully upgraded with 2 whites having 1980 cash & 780 credit
i feel it was a tight game & after looking at whole game in detail i found oilman who was in better position & was playing for 1 st position send a trade to creative which was in his(oilman) favour more than creative as he was in better position with green fully upgraded
creative who gave 1 red for 2 blue did the trade to get 800 credit as he said in game lobby which was not so a bad idea as it gave him a outside chance to improve his rank
oilman who was in better position to win took a risk by giving 800 credit at -100 start with only 1740 cash in hand
i am not defending any1 here but i just feel it was not a cheat trade ,may be a bad trade by creative, who could have ask for some money with 2 blue but as i said oilman had only 1740 in cash he was not in a position to give any money with 2 blues
there could be a other case also that creative wanted oilman to spend his all cash & use 2 blues to trade with u as u was having the 3rd blue
on the other hand i personally feel oilman took a unnecessory risk by giving crucial 800 credit to creative for 1 red to make a red set at -100 start with llittle money in hand & knowing yellow . brown, cyan , pink & 4 blacks can kill his cash which i feel one needs at later stage of the game to survive

at the end if ur not happy with my explanation u can request other mods to look at this

thanks

As this trade was made by sim's brother I have made checks myself.

The trade is very hard to call with ec at -100, and a fairly upgraded board.
The 800 credit from the 2 blue would of been helpful to allow creative to keep his upgrades as long as possible. And if oilman did build on red it would be taking cash from other players.

I'm not overly happy with the trade, but as it was ec and 800 credit (although cash would of been better) did give some benefit.

The final outcome of the game according to the logs was:

Mostly_evil 1st
creative 2nd
oilman 3rd
cat99 4th

So in light of all this I will rule it as ok.
