Player Umair got 3rd cyan for 2530 and be poor of cash.
Other players thought Umair will hardly upgrade on cyan.
I m the only one who was sure Umair will upgrade fully cyan and will win.(Thats why I try to block umair on this 3rd cyan)
Umair got 3 Greens later and full upgrad on Greens olså and win the game.

Many players thought 3rd cyan in 5P games dont worth more than 1500.
Good players like MrCrabbs olså thought 3rd cyan calculate as the book value of 1500. It depends about the game ofcourse.
to get 3 cyan in 5P games before the +200 (even if poor money) will let this player 1st or 2nd in that game.

Forget the book value för properties in 5P games. and try to have a group monopol as fast as you can.

This strategy not the same in 4P by the way.

I agree that proices depend hugely on circumstance, but I don't agree that in our game from the other day 3rd cyan was worth 1500, a pink and a yellow.

I think you agree with me there because you said that in the other players shoes you would not have paid that much.

Toon just try it and on 5P I said not 4 , And c how will you win.
But make sure you r playing with good players pay good prices för properties , Not players who just pay 1200 för 3rd black , and så on .

Hmmm. In our game you already had 4 blacks which is a perfect match for cyan, and you would have been ahead of him on money. And another player had oranges and browns, and so also would have beaten the cyan guy probably.

Cyans are good but its 200 like any other 200.

Full group of 4 blacks better than full upgraded cyan in my starategy.
But it depends on when you have any group.
To have a full upgrad cyan before +220 may better than 4blacks in 5P games sometimes.
Always remember I m just talking about 5P not 4P.

Today another 5P game
I have 3rd cyan för 1760 on +230
Umair blocks me and try to let me pay more but was dangerous if he pay more bcz of his poor cash.

Crabbs : who do u think who win this game?
Of course the player who have 3 cyan on +230 should win in 5p

I was ready to pay 2400 för this 3rd cyan but all(not alla) the players was poor cash.

Simply I said : having 3 cyan beföer +200 in 5P mean 90% this player will win if you r playing with good players , så not necessery to know what others have.

Greens , Purples , browns , oranges , was full upgrade by others
4 whites own by 1 player
4 blacks own by 1 player
Later reds and Yellows be a part upgrade .
& all that fully upgrading properties then cyan owner(me) win.
I have blues with fully upgrade later.(cyan help me to have good cash)
notice : 3 purples was upgraded 2 times beföre I have my 3rd cyan.

i disagree

getting cyan early in 5p does not automatically guarantee you a win
it can give you a good start but there are other factors involved .. such as 4 blacks , prison , pay 200 etc


i have been in games and have seen a couple of people pay 2000 and they struggled whole game

remember this..if you are ever in a game with me and push cyan up to 1700 then expect to own it

Sorry to break this to you Lotta but if you beat all those sets with cyan then you were VERY lucky.

Helen : Try it and you will see the results , remember I said 5P not 4P , and only with good players who pay more för each properties.

Lotta, Crabb won that game with whites not with cyan after u gave him 2 whites on 60 start with 1900.
