The current is system as I understand it is that a cheat trade is punished in terms of a points reduction, but only on the one account a player is using at that time.

It seems obvious that players who have many accounts, and who cheat, are getting off very lightly compared to players who has only one or two accounts.

I would like the punishment for a cheat trade to be extended to a % reduction accross all a player's accounts, so that the system gives the same % points punishment to a player who has 1 account as to a player who has 10, eg: 50% on all of them.

Its a nice idea but I do think it would place a heavy burden on the mods. Its not easy to tell which accounts belong to who and it takes a bit of studying to figure out...

I do think it would be beneficial to add it as maybe a 3rd or 2nd offense punishment. It would be good that if someone repeated a cheat offense they not only got banned but there top accounts were knocked down a bit.

We just need to think simplicity so that the mods are not bogged down all the time.

Good point. How easily can you find out all of my accounts for example?

i remember asking for this from kreso a couple of years back , BUT , there is one problem, many accounts are incorrectly tagged so, sometimes we may well be dropping a players points who has nothing to do with the cheater.

Oh I see. Are there any get-arounds for that problem?

If hypothetically we were each limited to 1 or 2 or 3 accounts, would those people who are wrongly tagged also be wrongly prevented from having their alloted number of accounts?

if everyone was assigned 1 -2-3 accounts as a maximum , then yes we would have a problem, with some players having 1 , and another 2 etc ,
the reason for it, is , when you download GM it creates a unique userid to your computer, and this is what the game recognises about you.

so we may well have problems where new players would not be able to create a name at all, so never being able to even play a game ,

unfortunately at the moment there isnt any way around it ,
