ok we all know if u cheat your points get cut back to 1000 or whatever the case may be. we should all also know how easy it is for these people to win a game or two and jump back into a 10k+ rated game and cheat people out of thier points.

i propose we cut thier points just like always, but then if someone is found to have cheated say, i dont know, five times, then not only cut thier points, also cut thier play range to 2x for a probationary period of say 5 months, basicly a month a cheat.

if during that month said player cheats again, five months starts over. this would be a much bigger deterrent for cheaters than point cutting alone i think.

I like it ! Even banning doesnt stop them, so halting their cheating rise quickly for a period might help to minimise problems.

Might not get agreement from whomever decides these things, but something else needs to be done to deter or minimise the impact of the slippery little suckers !

I disagree with the idea.

i would prefer players to be automatically banned from chatting but still able to play the game (this applies to swearing not cheat trades)

Nice idea HHHfan although would need some debate on perhaps.

I propose sending cheaters etc to prison. For each crime increase number of turns in prison. So for 1 crime 4 turns in prison instead of the standard 3. 5 for second crime and so on. Then at ec for each crime committed remove 1 turn in prison. So for 1 crime instead of 3 make it 2 turns in prison after ec.
This would certainly make cheaters behave hehe.

Totally unworkable in real life, but hey I can dream can't I?

This is a good idea, limiting cheating to 2X on the matching wizard.

I also like the "Increase Prison Stays" idea.

How about we ask Kreso to implement both, and leave it the Mod's discretion which, both or either gets applied based on the severity of the unfair trade and the experience level of the player, (veterans should know better.)

I love this idea of punishing people who cheat with a loss of points and eventually a loss of play range. I believe that if we do this we should set up a specific chart of punishments per offense, such as;
1st Offense: Reduction of Points
2nd Offense Reduction of Points and 10 Day Range Reduction
3rd Offense Reduction Reduction of Points and 10 Day Ban
and so on and so on.
