Hi all i have come up with an idea??????

I am going to speak to Kreso about it to see if its any violation of his hosting, but i am thinking of hosting a tournament.
But this wont be a normal tournament it will be for money aswell as the points you gain from the matches.

its still in the incubus stage of thought but i was thinking of everyone joins a service like paypal etc, , me or kreso can hold the account. and everyone has a month to subscribe to tournament.

People will know how many people have joined so they know that 100% of payments will be put back into prizes so myself or Kreso dont actually profit.

The prize downstream will be top 5 players paid at :=
1st place= 50%
2nd place=20%
3rd place= 15%
4th place= 10%
5th place= 5%

like i said this is still in the thought process but shall we just all post here to see what the general response to this can be?

I am against the idea of real money prizes for following reasons:

1.There is enough of cheating etc going on just for fame. It will increase exponentially if real money is involved.

2.Any game which involves money have tough time handling cheaters. I used to once play such a game called war of conquest.

3.It will put undue pressure on game finances which should be used in better computer hardware/development on game.

4.Not all have the access to money linked services like paypal etc.

like i said i was just putting out the feelers but now you have pointed that out about more cheating i would have to agree with you

sounds like a good idea...

but not for GM... in my view it would take the fun and enjoyment out of the game where where winning for profit takes over the fun aspect.

my mom doesn't approve of me gambling and I do think alot of people in my age group... their moms and dads could feel the same way too... this in my view is what could cripple this comminuty having really competitive people resorting to undisreable game play tactics to win a few bucks...

yeah i agree jarod. seeing as the age limit for this game starts at 13 it is not good to encourage gambling and such. also it would take the fun out of the game. and if you really think about it how many people lose their temper now when they are only losing points imagine what will happen if money becomes involved
