Post subject: Abort game request |
|
|
I'm in a 3p game right now w/ FalconPunch, luckyDice and MadMacs14.
We've had disconnects up a storm... messing up auctions, messing up rolls...
Whoever still has time left on their counter is winning this game.
I just lost... cost me 4100 points...
There should be a way, under mutual agreement of all players...
/Stalemate or /Abort
where the game ends with no players gaining/losing any points.
I must've gotten 3-4 error file reports during the game.
You can probably check the logs and see the disconnects.
I know we can't get our points back from dc loss, but it was all about the DC's and nothing about skill...
I would've had 2nd or maybe 1st if not for DC's, and luckydice had 12 on timer and FalconPunch had 160.
Luckydice went to jail on next turn, and FalconPunch timed out from 160 and lost.
LuckyDice picked up 5k points due to DC's...
But we all 3 agreed that we wanted to void the game. |

Yes, an abort option in cases like this one would be great, but you must think that this button must be pressed by all the players in game and there will always be players who will not want to press it, so it'll be useless... _________________

I agree that it needs to be pushed by all players... and in the game that I'm referring to, all 3 of us agreed that we wanted to abort the game.
No one wants to win by "sheer luck" of the timer not running out. |

Well the only time a game will want to be aborted is when dc is involved and that doesnt happen untill someone actually loses due to it. Thats y i think it wont be used enough. Intresting idea though _________________

I agree that it's about when DC is involved...
But in most games, people get DC's multiple times before they are truly DC'd out of the game.
If you were in a game where almost every auction was decided by when the DC kicked in, and not by who really was willing to bid more, wouldn't that be totally based on luck, and not on skill at all?
If all of the players agreed that the DC's were really bad, and the game should be aborted and not counted in the rankings (or just change to an unrated game), then that would make things better.
Personally, I've been on both the winning and losing side of DC victory/losses, and neither is very fulfilling to me. |

uk i think they should add the button and ask u at the start of the game when u get stuck with a bunch of 4k losers and really dont wana risk 5k for the great benifit of maby gaining 1k. so before picking ur icon u can pick to say im the hell 0ut of this game peace. |

That would be a nice feature as well... to let you abort before choosing your icon, maybe, say for a 5% point loss, instead of forcing you to play the whole thing out. After all, in 3, 4 and 5p games, if you're the big points in the game, usually, even coming in 2nd you'll still lose something. |

just been browsing and came across www.watchesshopping.net there prices seem to be way lower that standard. All of the wristwatches seem to be priced around $300 to $400. Are they fakes? The site seems to look quite legit. _________________ Buying luxury watches for $199! |
