the black utility in a 2p..game is nt worth that much importance..as in case of 4p or 5p game...so u should plan ur strategyy accordiglyy..that u keep the auction price balanced..
so wat u think of black utilityy???? _________________ always rock and live life to the fullest |

I voted 1100... but to be serious it really depends on the situation -
If it is the forth utility u'll have, it can be worth over 1500.
For the first or second, 950-1100 seem reasonable.
The utilities are like any other monopoly (except extractors), but they have 4 squares, and are distributed across the board.
If you have 4 , the value is 150 per fall of another player.
You can compare it to the light blue series - 3 squares of 200 but not distributed.
Black (utilities) seem even better to me. _________________ Whichever I choose it amounts to the same - absolutely nothing |

In the vein of "It's not enough for me to win... my opponent must lose" idea, The extractors will cause a profit no matter who lands on them, and a black utility will cause the lose of money for the player that lands and profit for the owner.
Doesn't this fact balance the white/black argument in a 2p game? |

in a 2player game the black utilit changes from game to game.
some games you can gain all 4 quite cheap early on, and they will come good for you towards the last 3rd of the game, but also there are times when you can get the black early and gain money from them early on but not that much in recession.
As raghav said , they are very profitable in 4/5p games.
an example of this , yesterday i was in a 4p game and i had the 4whites by the time the economy reached +50 on ec, another player had the light blues and browns upgraded fully, and another had yellows and blacks , upgraded fully also, the other player was collecting money, had no property, BUT we all had over 5k at this point in money,
SO to swing the balance of the game i bought the Black set from SerialKilla for 3000 which gave him 7k in money and only yellows, as where it gave me 3k in money and 4 whites and 4 blacks , which then turned me from possible ending 4th or3rd to finishing in 2nd place which in theory i shouldve won but Farsouth was very lucky and had good run of luck at the end.
so the blacks do kick ass, but only when used in correct sense, ie, 4or 5player i think.
and as for the price i dont think you can put a price on the 1st neither the 4th because so many factors can change the price. _________________
