I dislike players that tend to opt FOR recessions whenever giventhe chance, this is especially anoying at the start of games.
I just played a game, and a player got the option for recession 3 times in a row, of course, choosing for the recession EVERY time.
This makes for SHORT games, making upgrades more difficult.
I never opt for recession unless the economy has already collapsed. But thats because I tend to go for upgrades early, which many recessions could easily be the direct counter to... |

Meh, it's more an issue of personal preference. I sympathize with you in the fact that it makes upgrades harder, but "shortening" a game is a relative term. In essence, an average game still takes about an hour. Only 15 or so minutes are really shaved off by recession being quickened. |
