Players. BrownSandwich(me) Ikecarlini, uth, and slaven202
Game was going well, with uth and slaven in an obvious lead and no way for me or Ike to win or chance for 2nd without trading. we were unable to work out a reasonable trade, (i thought mine were reasonable) and so he proceeds to auction the 3 green he had (which I believe was all he had besides 2 whites at this point) while uth has around 4k cash and nobody else has anywhere near that. I asked why he would do that and he says "I lost might as well have some fun" after this i tell him this is bad sportmanship and the kind of play that will ruin a game. he says "if its ruined for me I might as well ruin it for others". at this point i decided this needed reporting. If a mod could take a look at this and either explain to me how it is acceptable, or explain to him how it is not, that would be great. Thanks

Warning to Ikecarlini to not auction properties out of spite.
Ok now, auctioning your properties is not a punishable offense you may do it at any time you wish to do so, however with his comments it shows he was being a bad sport which is not allowed when it is blatant. This is a warning without reduction this time and as you said you were losing anyway so this did not effect your outcome.

inaccurate and disagreeable, again.

i had 2 whites, 1 cyan, 2 blues, 2 purple and 3 green.

i could not come to any arrangement with either BS or uth, both wanted to squeeze me and their previous offers were less than compelling. best was 1200 + blue from BS or 1900 for two purple from uth. uth already had yellows with properties and slaven had properties on orange and 3 black.

i auctioned 2 purple expecting some activity to sell for a reasonable price. that didn't happen and uth got them for 330 completing the set. well, these things can happen but i wasn't happy hence my perhaps glib comments. but the others did/allowed this to happen. i thought i would try again with green as i still had no cash and the only offers were holding me to ransom and not even allowing me any way forward.

however, BS then chose to ignore me denying me a right to reply to his torrent of accusations.

what happened, happened. either through action or inaction of others in the game. BS should not be upset because of this. things could have gone quite differently. i came off worst but i take it on the chin and try and learn from it not go crying to mods.

The "torrent of accusations." were all statements about your game play, all true, and a veteran player (uth) who was in game agreed with them all. Also, I tried to handle this without resorting to reporting, until you said, and i quote "If im not going to win I might as well ruin it for the rest".

You obviously have missed the entire point. I'm not upset, but if we continue to let noobs cheat trade/throw games because they are unhappy with outcomes then GM is going to continue to degrade the way it has for years.

Seriously kiddo, dont get butt-hurt because you are losing and throw the game. It's bad sportsmanship, ugly play, and simply a crappy thing to do. I hope you have learned something from this.

the game was not thrown. there was no cheating in that game. if you think there was then you are more delusional than i had previously thought. i am within my rights to auction properties i have purchased. i have played this game on and off for years and given your candour, your opinion is inconsequential to me.

you 'tried to handle this', who do you think you are you condescending little man? you can't even get your facts right but continue to accuse and lie anyway - this should not be allowed. i take objection to this and if anyone should be warned then it should be you.

IkeCarlini's strategy:

Jack up prices and wait for everyone to spend their cash. Then buy everything cheap. It works for him on less skilled players I imagine, but not to those of us who've been playing long enough. Chances are in this game here it was a case of too little, too late. I played a game against him recently where he tried to do just this with purple. It was too little, too late. He still amazingly made 3rd out of 5 with nothing.

It never ceases to amaze me the attitudes of some players here. He may be deceptively quiet during games, but his true nature does come out in this thread. He's definitely a player to watch out for.

Well Ike "i have played this game on and off for years and given your candour, your opinion is inconsequential to me." MY candor. you are a funny man Ike and I have no idea where you get the idea that you are some kind of GM master. Whats your points?. I have been here seven years and have had many accounts, seen many like you come and go. and so have the rest of the people that have commented on this incident, who strangely all agree with me for some reason. I have no more time to waste arguing with you, and will be making no more comments on this thread.
