Post subject: too much chat/delaying game |
|

Is this a punishable offense? I asked the other players to please type between rolls, but they continued to chat even when it was their turn. In this case, it was all three players. This game was much longer than it should've been. At the 45 minute mark we were only at +200 or so. Non-stop chatter + delays.
Game time was 3:00 PM [EST]. Players me, ffive, rock and some other guy. |

It is inconsiderate but not punishable, there is a timer and if they were to take too much time chattering then they would time out. _________________ CYN

Yes, I had thought of that. I even said to myself: "you know, CYN's not going to see it if he judges by the timer." That's because you can still get a delay without the timer moving before you can roll. There was one player that had his timer down to 55, though. So in this case it would be very hard to judge by the timers alone on all three players. I've never measured the timer, but there is a pause before it actually starts. On the old Atari Monopoly this was a strategy very unscrupulous players like asada would use to win. There was no timer on that game. |
