2p Tourney will be held at 3pm GMT (forum time) on Sunday Dec 18 2011.

ENTRY FEE 10k

Must have 11k minimum to enter.
Entry Fee 10000 points
Please show up 15 minutes prior to start time
To enter the tourney room from the lobby type the follow:
/join T

Sign up by replying to this post, state the name you will be playing
under and approximate points. If you sign up a name and you fall below
the required 10k, you will not be allowed to play.

Rules:

1. Please be available in the lobby or tourney room on the registered user name (from lobby type /join T) 15 minutes prior to start time. If you fail to arrive by the start time you will be disqualified and still charged entry fee.

2.If you have to withdraw, it must be one day or more before start
time.

3) There is to be no trading during 2 player tourneys. Please bear this in mind when you begin the games. This is to prevent distraction, or any bad trades being accidentally accepted.

5) A minimum of 8 players must show up or the tourney will be cancelled.

6) No arguing or fighting allowed. Any disputes should be brought to CYN
and will be ruled on.

7) Anyone cheating will be automatically disqualified, and still lose 5k . This relates to trading.

8 ) Players for each game of will be assigned by the moderator holding the tournament.

9) The games will be played unrated.

PRIZE AMOUNTS
Pool = 10k per player + additional 3K per player = 13k * no_of_players
1ST PLACE 45% OF PRIZE POOL...2ND PLACE 35%.....3RD PLACE 20%

The entry fee's charged to 1st 2nd and 3rd will be converted to free entry to a tourney of your choice.

If we have 11+ users take part 4th place will be awarded a free entry to a tourney of their choosing also.

Perhaps you should increase the rewards to attract more players. I know these prize amount percentages are more or less the classic standard but with a larger amount of points at stake, people might consider a tournament more worth their while and join in, rather than just play the usual rated matches. From my personal point of view, it would be quite interesting if you could endanger top 10 spots in ranking after raking up enough points by winning a few tournaments? Would keep things flowing. Another issue might be that people aren't as interested in 2p tournaments than they are in multiplayer ones.

I used to play in a few (4/5p) one-day tournaments like this a long while back and they were really quite popular. Guess things really have slown down.

In keeping with your suggestion, some changes to the tourney have been made.

Entry fee is now 10K. You need a minimum of 11K to enter. For every player that enters, an extra 3000 points get added to the pot. That means, that a player contributes 10K, but 13K gets added to the pot.

The original post has been updated to incorporate these changes.

This is a big stakes tourney! So folks, come forward and start posting on this thread to join this tourney, or it will be cancelled due to a lack of interest.

I'd join but unfortunately im busy this Sunday. Glad to see you made some positive changes though. Might I also suggest advertising your tournament ingame? It could work, as im sure you know that a lot of active players don't really visit the forums at all.
