Personally I'm thinking that it is seriously flawed, not that I can do anything about it of course.
Having been playing in the 4/5 and 2p competitions I have noticed as you get any decent points going, 1 game lost is taking 2-3 games to win to recoup the points loss because nobody has many points.
Like at 30k I just lost 1 game so now I'm 25k, I lost 4709. Now i'm unlikely to get to play anyone of 30k next, so it will be at least 2 games in a row of winning to get back to what I just lost off 1 game.

Seems quite wrong to me.

Personally I think the system should not be what the other player has, but that you gain x amount for each win, of each variety of game 2/3/4/5 etc. Then perhaps a bonus for playing high ranked players or something.

Anyway, just me having a moan I guess since I know nothing can be done.

You have a good point. In my quest to make 100k, (yeah right, but still), I noticed its pretty easy to hit 20 or 30k after that, games come harder, and losses mean more than previous wins, and it seems impossible to win forever. In this instance, for sure, change would be good!
