This is kinda useless but I noticed this link from alexa.com where you can see historical snapshots of websites......
heres the one for galacticmag where you can see the progression of highest scoring players over time.......

its kinda interesting for other pages like yahoo b/c it even archives news from any given day going all the way back to '96
