Post subject: malikk and sonny32 Reply with quote

just finished a 4p with maikk,sonny32,homend,and myself as grasshopper
i had dblue and 1 white which i couldnt upgrade, homend had 4 black and yellow, malikk had 2 white, and sonny had 1 white

makil didnt have a set ...but had about 3k in cash.....he traded with sonny32 for 3rd orange and 1 white and in return gave sonny 1 cyan 1 red and 1500 ( i had 3rd cyan and 1 red... i failed to see how trade was beneficial to both...

so for 1500 malikk got a set and 3rd white...the deal to me was way too cheap and very one sided ...........

Quote:
Cash: 1000

Taking 2 orange (making set), 1 extractor making full set.

Giving (wait for it......)

2nd red, 3rd still on the board.

Thats rather unbalanced I'd say.

trade is similar to this one

can mods check please

players alive: 4
start money: 20

Trade:
From sonnys32 to malikk
Cash: 1500

Giving:

2 orange (makes a set)
1 extractor (makes 3)
1 cyan
1red

As the cyan and red were not making a set I won't count them in the overall decision.

Start was at 20.

players:
malikk cash: 3613 credit: 410
grasshopper cash: -537 credit: 1510
sonnys32cash: 378 credit: 660
homeend cash: 225 credit: 550

Only complete sets owned were yellow and black by homeend.

I feel the trade although low was enough to give sonny a chance of 3rd rather than 4th. The trade therefore benefited both players in advancing their position.

No action taken.

when one can trade and obtain 1 white and a set for 1500 and do so without penalty then no wonder there are so many cheat trades being carried out in this game

whatever his reason for trading was ...it is still a cheat trade in my books

yellow wasnt the only complete set owned ...i had dark blue

i could have traded my white cheap and screwed sonny over to upgrade but i didnt because i didnt think it was the fair thing to do

Helen, what I meant was complete sets built or gaining money from. Dark blue was not upgraded, at 20 start and your cash in minus the chance of being able to upgrade the blue was almost zero.

I'm not saying the trade was great, but it did give both players a fair chance at increasing their ranking position. It gave one cash, the other property.

trace,

i had options....i could have traded both dark blue and white ... i didnt trade because i dont play the game to win any cost...i wont undermine my ethics just to beat another player.

you can put a dress on a pig but at the end of the day its still a pig

It doesn't matter what I personally think of any trade. Its about what the rules made by kreso state, if a trade is acceptable under his guideline there is nothing I can do.

If I ruled it the other way I'd have 2 players moaning at me too....can't bloody win whatever I do!!!!

But I stand by my ruling 100%.
