The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual competition held among active member countries of the European Broadcasting Union.
Each member country submits a song to be performed on live television and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. Each country participates via one of their national EBU-member television stations, whose task it is to select a singer and a song to represent their country in the international competition.

and as I see in posts there a lot of americans and people not only from europe are watching eurovision |

Bosnia - Herzegovina , Croatia and Estonia had nice songs but didnt have chance the songs was in their language and not in English, but was nice and good music.
About Romania Elena has a very nice voice but the song was not for eurovision, was a very banal song with no chances to win  (
Norway won it and they really deserve it .
