ok, this is one of my ways of playing the game and i dont think i've seen any one say it before.
you have less money, but better income.
assume early in the game you got 3 white they have a few bits around the board which you let them have to remove some of their cash
i will nearly always, (as long as im not playing for fun) hold back on auctioning anything as i know i have better income. once the cash starts to balance out, then is time to start going for a decoy set or a set you want.
remember, he who has best income ought to win.
try not to give too much purchasing power to your opponent, and if you can, push them towards full sets of the cheper properties.
