Hi guys I see GM has not had a tournament for quite sometime now is this because there is no interest or coz one has not been organized ?

Would anyone like to comment on the subject or even just say they would play if one was set up ?

ranban tried to organize one 2 months ago and there was no interest. I will be happy to hold a tourney if at least 8-10 people show interest

I really enjoy a good tourny, problem is that unless it is a month long like Trace use to have, i would not be able to attend.
My best time would be 7 pm central time and that is not very convenient for most players around the world.
And the usual time of the tournaments are 9 am here, sorry but i should be asleep at that time.
I still hope you get enough interest for one, it shows GM is still played.
LOL if i had a spirit guide, he would say book them and they will come.

7 pm central time: Europe or USA? In USA is GMT-5

usual time of the tournaments are 9 am here: 14 GMT

My time line is GMT+2:

so tournament time for me is: 16GMT = Ok in weekend
In the weekend I can join tournament from 7AM to 24 so 5AM to 22 GMT on weekend

A tournament would be nice. Unfortunately the Christmas one was not a good time for me, I had to visit family that day.
Times of a tourney can make or break it. If its too early many are still in bed especially at weekends, if its too late many are ready to eat their tea. Its a tricky one, hence I tried the competitions which ran for a month so people could play when convenient for their life. It seemed to be fairly popular.

Either way, advertising is essential so people know about it in advance.
