Post subject: Moving to a new server Reply with quote

On late Monday or early Tuesday, Galactic Magnate will be transitioning to a new (better) server.

All players playing on Windows will be directed to apply an automatic update. Also, a new client for Windows and Linux will be made available from the website's download section. Linux clients will have to be updated manually, by downloading a new client from the website.

During a database transition, which will probably last for about an hour or two, all active games will end up as draws and unrated (and thus, there will be no changes in points during that period).

The website might temporarily lose some functionality during a transition, or it might report inaccurate data. This problems should be fixed within a week.

This is really good and welcomed news for the whole community of Gm, and well overdue. Thanks Kreso and hopefully Gm will have plenty of good years to come and many new players on the new server!

Kreso also could you contact me directly please I wish to discuss a few things with you .

Regards steve
