I pretty much blew through the SATs. (Got a 1450. Smile The analogies were no match for me! Anyway, superfluous verbiage means "really complex words".
Macabre= ghastly; horrible
Insipid= extremely boring or bland; lacking taste or flavor
Nostalgic=unhappy about being away and longing for familiar things or persons
Adhere= be compatible or in accordance with
Linguistic=consisting of or related to language
Any other words I forgot?

Just sayin'

When you post like that it comes off as pretentious, like you're trying to impress people...

Not necessary, just settle in and post intelligently without all the extras Idea

Yeah, I just realized that. Embarassed Laughing I usually only speak that way if I'm trying to make a profound point. I'll stick to "lame mans" terms, but I'ts just a habit that I've developed (using big words)

Just a word of advice-

It's not how many times you post, or how many words you use-

"Good things often come in small packages"

Honestly, I tired to summarize and make my gripping posts shorter to have maximum effect. That long one I put earlier could have easier been much longer! Wink I guess you could say, it's a habit that developed from a ridiculous amount of work that was required by my teachers, i.e. 10 page essays, 1000 word research reports, etc. (I took Honors and AP classes throughout high school and collage... don't get me started.)

I would hardly call your lengthy posts "gripping"...

More like "sleep inducing"

I'd say so. Just realise that just because you can use big words doesn't mean you should Smile There are others on here who have been to college or university, this doesn't mean they feel the need to brandish anything they've learnt through that experience. Just stick to saying what actually needs to be said and you'll be ok

Thanks. I didn't mean to be arrogant or anything, I just like to write elegantly. Smile Anyway, I'll stick to average lingo. (Easier on my exhausted brain!) Wink
