ooo00 sold 3 green to efrasier for 2k
efrasier was winning easily while ooo00 was almost out but with this trade efrasier help ooo00 coming 2nd
trade should give benefit to both whereas in this case as efrasier was already winning he shouldnt have help ooo00
they both will lose 50 % & warning to both next time they will get ban if they do any cheat trade _________________

How was what I did in any way cheating? I accepted a reasonable trade. The point of the game is to try and to get the most points for your rating that you can, if it not then ratings should be removed. I had the opportunity to improve my rating and I took it. It was not an unfair trade as I paid a reasonable price for the properties at that point in the game. I would like to appeal this ruling.

The trade was only beneficial to ooo00. At the time of the trade you were very clearly winning, ooo00 was about to be out. The trade helped him to stay alive thus increasing his chance of a better end ranking. As you were clearly the winner it did not help you.
The way the points are worked out at the end of the game, is based on players points and final end position (ie. 1st 2nd 3rd etc) and has nothing to do with what you own at the time the game ends.
See http://galacticmag.com/doc-miscellaneous.php#rating for how the points are worked out at game end. |

I understand how the points work and by making sure that Hassan got third instead of second it definetly gave me more points. I did not pay an unfair amount for the property and in no way cheated any of the players. If getting the most points possible is considered cheating than I am not sure why there is a ranking system at all. |

Playing in that way gives players with more points a unfair disadvantage. It is not acceptable to deliberately alter the end ranking of players when you have clearly won in order to boost your points. |

When we talk of trades being advantageous, we only talk of ranking in the game. Shouldn't a trade be considered advantageous for a player coming first if it finishes a game quickly? |

Not if it's manipulating the final ranking outcome of the game in the very final stages for 1 player alone.
ie.
player 1 1st place definite
players 2 2nd place definite (has more points than player 3)
players 3 3rd place about to go out
Trade takes place:
player 1 1st place
player 3 2nd place (through saving trade)
player 2 3rd place as a result of trade |

Such an interpretation of the rules makes the game a bit boring - the player coming first cannot trade with anyone other than the player coming second. But making a higher rated player lose so the other players gain points totally sucks and should be penalized. |

I looked carefully at the way points are calculated and see that the player coming first actually gains more if the remaining higher rated players get higher ranks. Thus, the most optimal scenario for a player coming first in a 5p is that out of the remaining players, the highest rated gets 2nd, the next highest gets third and so on. In the game under discussion, efrasier stood to gain around 500 more points if malikhassan had came second instead of ooo00. So helping players with low points is actually bad for you! |

I thought the winner gets the same amount no matter who goes out in any order. _________________ I am the Tory Steller! |
