Post subject: Cheat trade between Levski1914 and Frazerchi |
|
|
4p game at about 7:30 pm EST on Sat. 5/16
Yiles, Levski1914, Retupmoc, and Frazerchi
Levski had 3 whites and +2000 in cash, most money of any player
Frazerchi had oranges and browns upgraded, but spent his last money on third purple.
Basically, Levski traded three whites for three purples, but with no money exchanged, he was able to upgrade purples immediately, and left frazerchi with three whites, but he received no money in the deal. How is this a fair deal? I think EC had started and this was no benefit to guy with no immediate money and small credit.

the trade didnt benefit frazerchi at all....only reason he came 2nd was becasue yiles quit..
.yiles had 4 black and frazerchi was a constant visitor on them.
by trading pink without any cash left frazerchi as poor as a church mouse, just as he was prior to the trade
trading pink just added another obstacle for him to overcome _________________ why try so hard to fit in ....when you were born to stand out |

Yeah, well like I've said before, I don't care so much about the points, but these cheaters must be reported every time- or else they will continue to do lopsided deals and ruin the fun of the games.
But sometimes I do wonder how many points I'd have if I didn't leave games like this all the time _________________

I don't believe this was not a cheat trade. The player with least cash who owned the 3 pink (which were not helpful to him only 150 credit) gained 3 extractors which is income without the need to upgrade.
To get 2 upgrades on pink it would cost 1200.
Provided the trade "advanced" both players in gaining a better end raking at this stage of the game I see the trade as fine. |

That is not the case, as I and Helen have already pointed out, Trace.
If I didn't quit the game early to report, Frazier would have gone out first, the trade did not help him, as he needed immediate money, not "potential" income _________________

I see the trade as having helped or certainly increased the chances of Frazerchi having a end raking above that of retupmoc, as the extra income from extractors, along with the orange and brown would of helped. |

I've got a bit more time now, so I'll try and explain better how I came to my decision.
start money: -160
levski1914 cash 2963 credit: 180 owned cyan 5 upgrades 3 extractors
yiles cash 2645 credit: 600 4 utilities and 2 green (one still unowned)
retupmoc cash: -466 credit: 1700 owned 1 yellow 3 dark blue on 4 upgrades and 2 red (3rd unowned)
frazerchi cash: 339 credit: 450 owned orange 5 upgrades, brown 4 upgrades, 3 pink no upgrades.
Trade - 3 extractor for 3 pink, frazerchi gaining extractors.
the collective assets of retupmoc including credit and upgrades = 2634 although of course the credit would be expensive on passing start.
the collective assets of frazerchi including cash, credit and upgrades = 2339
The trade although costing if landed had the same risk of landing for both players.
But with the extra income from the extractors of 130 each hit would help off set the expense of landing on pink, also would mean income even after all upgrades sold, of which retupomc would not of had.
It was close between then, so I feel this trade could of tipped the balance enough to end the game in a better ranking, which is why I feel this is not a cheat trade. It benefited both players. |

as i have said before looking at a game on paper is not the same as being in it.
he bought pink knowing full well he could not afford to upgrade.
he was dying fast and on the verge of downgradingbut then yiles quit.
and when yiles quit he stood a chance as black was killing him. suddenly black was out of game and he got cash from yiles leaving and that is what saved him
it was not the trading of pink .. pink in fact if yiles had not quit would have wiped him out quicker _________________ why try so hard to fit in ....when you were born to stand out |

I do know exactly what you mean, playing a game is very different from staring at a page of info. I do still stand by my decision, however I'm quite happy for another mod to give an opinion and double check if they feel necessary. That also applies to every complaint, I'm only human and can make mistakes. |
