I am forced to post a complaint about Jarod. I believe he has been trying to trick me into cheating, by sending me trades that were overwhelmingly in my favour. In addition, he has been very reluctant to trade with me in the last several games, while trading very generously with other opponents.

He has sent me trades that, had I accepted, would have been cheats in the last two games I played with him. But here I will talk only of the most recent game, since I do not know the time and date of the other.

I have two complaints about jarod in this game. They are firstly, not trading with me - indeed I do not remember him sending me any offers apart from the suspicious one that I mention shortly. And secondly, that suspicious trade - just as in the last game we played, he sent me an extremely generous trade that I suspect was intended to lure me into cheating.

In this case, he offered me 800 and two blues in exchange for one white. I already owned one blue and would have had ample money to upgrade. It would have been a cheat in my favour and I did not accept. But I could not get him to accept any of my many offers, all of which would have enhanced both of our positions. In the game Jarod claimed that he had inteded that I give him the 800, and that it had been an error. However, I do not believe this for 3 reasons:

1) He had moments earlier refused an offer from me to give him 1000 and the white for the two blues. So why would he seconds later want to take that deal for only 800?

2) When he claimed it had been an accident, I invited him to send the correct offer. He declined, saying he had changed his mind and did not wish to trade.

3) He did a very similar thing to me in the last game I played with him.

I should add that after I suggested he may be trying to ensnare me, he sent the incorrect offer again, I believe to play stupid and pretend that again he had messed up and accidentally made an error. Of course, he did not send the corrected offer when I asked him to, and rebuffed all my suggested trades.

That brings me onto the second issue, that he refused to trade with me. Possibly there is a case to say that he thought his interests were best served by letting me sink into last, but (although I do not know the result of the game other than my own position of fourth) I suspect that not trading with me resulted in him coming only 3rd. I believe he could very easily have done better than that.

If Jarod is telling the truth, and after all these years of playing he has forgotten how to use the trading system, mods should find that in other games, he has also sent such one-sided offers. It is too much of a conicidence that he has done this to me (tried to offer me a cheat trade) in two games running.

It saddens me to have to report another well known player in GM. I hope that this can be investigated most thoroughly, since if he is innocent I have made an error of judgement. But if he is guilty, a one-sided points reduction of 50%, the punishment I believe he tried to land on me, is appropriate.

This is an incident that may take a lot of work from mods to get to the bottom of. Any mods who feel willing and able to assist me in getting to the bottom of this, please let me know.

As a side issue I believe that for punishments to be fair, points should always be taken from the player's highest account. Otherwise we have a system that favours players who wish to cheat using their smaller accounts, which may not matter to them.

I give crabb last blue plus he gives me 1000 i think that was it and he gives me last white to complete my set but I made an error in the trade as I text him I did this twice in a row and because I'm not used to trading like this the trade went the wrong way thats where crabb thought I was cheating. come on crabbs you think I would stoop so low

I can see why crabbs is angry he came last breaking his streak but honestly to call me a cheat matie thats really forward of you

But i must say, when i trade (when not banned any way ) i tend to decide which way the money is going and put up the oponents cards/my cards first to make sure the $$$ its going the right way then add my / other players cards.

If I am wrong about your intentions here you will rightly be offended. But I do intend to find out, and the investigation will not be terribly pretty.

Thank you for your thoughts on this judd. I too find it difficult to imagine sending an incorrect trade, and I have been playing for a fraction of the time jarod has. Certainly, I would have noticed as soon as I sent it, something he did not do in this game or the last until I pointed it out to him.

look matie I told you before in the game I don't intentially cheat its in the chat logs and what I was orignally wanting in the trade, but I say again honestly call me a cheater lol in 3 years of playing this game you have a damn nerve all I say is this I concentrate on 2p games I play 45p games for fun although its great if I win 45p games don't worry me all that much but 2p games are my strongest as you know already

you do recall I recalled that trade as it was another mistake I did didn't you... anyway bill if anything i am guilty of making big mistakes in trdes but honestly I wasnt trying to help this chap out this aint my style call me on making huge mistakes on trades suppose I better start learning how to trade I may go back to playing 45p games and get this trading system sorted out properly just a mention to you mods check out all my accs and you will see 2p games are what I am experienced I prolly need to spend more time on other formats and getbetter at trading as I like to buy props for keeps I try not to trade at all

Just to say, I have consulted widely about your actions of late, and evidence is mounting that this was your intention. I will present the remainder of the case in private for the mods to consider, unless you wish for a public trial?

the trade logs do show jarod offering 2 blues plus 800 for one extractor a couple times, also shows him offering 1000 for the 3rd blue. The logs also show MrCrabbs offering cash for the 2 blues.
I am confused that you think he is trying to get you to take a cheat trade. Why would someone do that? If you accept a cheat trade and it is reported you BOTH would lose points for cheating, so where is his benefit?
