Reportiing player asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa for time wasting in a 4p game.

Players:
good-weed
MisterCrabbs
tomrudy
asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa

Severe and repeated time wasting from asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa, particular towards the end of recession and in the last few rolls even more so.

I think tomrudy, who was contending for 2nd with him, quit out of frustration.

Stalling is not punishable as the player may have reasons for playing slow.

However, if the player continues to play this way people will become wise to it and avoid them.

Sorry trace but I think stalling must be punish and I think it was in the past . Playing slow is one thing , but playing slow only to waste time and make other players mad and in the end make them to quit , is another thing and it must be punish . Maby worn and than ban if it is necesary . Its my opinion .

If I am wrong here, I'm sure Bill will correct me.

Many complaints on one user may be punishable. One complaint in one game alone I personally don't feel is sufficient. But this is only my opinion, and Bill may view this differently.

Post subject: If it is punishable then he needs punished Reply with quote

asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa has stalled many times in games i have been in and always when losing.
It is very aggravating and he should at least be warned against it and penalized if another complaint is issued

Bezma is correct that this is an offense that has been punished in the past.

If a mod CYN has experienced this from the player in question, plus when I accused the player of it in game he as good as admitted it, then a punishment should be issued in line with previous punishments for this kind of offense. A quick search for "time wasting" should yield threads in which players have been punished for this, to refresh mods' memories and to allow for consistency in this case.

I've had the unfortunate pleasure of playing,,,player asd,,, as well I can't remember if he stalled in the game ... all I remember is him having a hissy fit over the way I beat him it reminded me of a 5 year old crying over some one taking his marbles off him and having a big tantrum over it

I do not like the way this person plays he also reminds me of hammerhead2007 I would never play him again in his life time only if he sneaks in to a game with me...

I have gone by what Bill told me the other night in regards to slow players/stalling. If I have misinterpreted I am sure Bill will correct me.

The most recent post related to stalling by Bill was however this one:

I am not sure when the rules changed, but the thread you have referred to is one where punishment should certainly have occurred, going by the description of the game by the complainant (and ignoring the fact that he is the evil fake BILL).

Here are some examples of where action was taken:

The rule seems to be that if there obviously was time wasting, a points deduction and/or ban is made. In this case there obviously was time wasting, as can be seen by when he was not rolling, and the fact he as good as admitted it in the game logs. He has also done this in the past:

, above.

If no punishment is to be enacted an explanation of why is needed. Sometimes GM seems to take one step forward and two steps back. Let's all keep in forward gear please, it's like Groundhog Day rehashing the same tired issues. This is a punishable offense, and it has been as far as I can remember.

more n more people doing this [time wasting] and now we must make a stance against it

Bill please explain why you have decided to drop this stance, if you have done. I can think of no clearer and better rule than that proven time wasting be punished.
